June 16th to 19th ,2015,Anqing Foreign Language School welcomed the arrival of two American professors,Mary and Katie with the College of the Canyons.
The minute they stepped into the campus,Mary and Katie,aka mother and daughter pair,held cordial and friendly talks with our teachers with the International Department in terms of culture,customs,people’s interests and education feedback.The overall atmosphere is very harmonious.
According to the schedule,the following afternoon,Mary and Katie attended a meeting with students of the abroad class as planned,during which students showcased their talents incisively and vividly by speaking up their opinions concerning various subjects in daily life as well as culture exchange purposes.The two professors were deeply impressed by our students.After that,some student representatives presented several gifts full of Chinese characteristics to both Mary and Katie as a kind and hospitable gesture of Anqing Foreign Language School.
On June 18th and 19th,after the discussion concerning the abroad class teaching materials and final settle-down of the courses with the project California State University Speedway,Mary and Katie then had an incredible tour in the world-renowned Yingjiang Temple,Zhenfeng Tower and Taihu County Expo Garden respectively,with the accompany of Miss Sherry Lee and Miss Susan Ray as interpreters.Through the accurate and awesome interpretation of International Department directors of our school,both mother and daughter fully understood the profound Chinese traditional culture and they were definitely attracted to it,looking forward to returning to Anqing City in the upcoming September and starting a friendly and harmonious cooperation with Anqing Foreign Language School.
In spite of the tight four-day timetable,teachers and students of Anqing Foreign Language School are deeply moved by the two American professors,especially their humor and wit,their pursuit in the academics as well as their humble down-to-earth attitude towards students.May the friendship between the College of the Canyons and our school last forever!
